Thanks for the drawing and the info. That is exactly how I made shells for my 16ga pin fire. I just used plastic hulls. Works great but they do stink just a little. Mike I sent you a PM. Its my first PM so I hope it worked.

Wayne,
It looks good, Try to come to the pond tomorrow, everyone will get a kick out of it.I am going to start my project for the bumped up bullets in the 5.6x61R vH, but I should be finished with my chronograph by the time you get there. I can leave it set up, if you want to run a couple rounds over it. From the photos of your rifle ammo, I believe the Alu.14.5 cases are too small. A 58 cal bullet fits right in, but it would not be necked like yours. I will bring some anyway, you may find a use for them.
Mike

Wax, as in a beeswax mix?....son-of-a-gun! Never thought of that and shall try it. I've been having the darndest time getting my OSC's to stay put for very long, as in a few months. Fresh loads work fine. It appears the glue dries out and lets go. Water glass I read about but haven't tried to date. Thanks Wayne!!
Are those loaded with a percussion cap set beneath the pin then....immersed, for lack of a better word...in black powder? Lots of finagelin' gettin' them in there I expect?Last edited by sharps4590; 06-13-2015, 01:58 AM.

The rifle load was not made from a chamber cast. The chamber side walls are straight. The case has to be necked to hold the .575 bullet. Started with 24ga Mag Tec brass. Used paraffin to seal the 20ga cases. Bee's wax has a moisture to it and over time it will corrupt your powder. Both shotgun and rifle are ignited with percussion caps.
