Here are some pics of your missing parts.

Also, I realize you are the first to fall victim to my English. My receiver ring has got the proof marks too. What I meant was that on that particular place of the receiver ring my conversion only bears the marking 5. Why the marking U (Untersuchung) on your gun is double crowned I don´t know. I also see that the stock of your conversion has a cheek piece, mine hasn´t but is a sporter stock with side panels just as yours. My other conversion a´la Rempt´s patent has a stock that is a "sporterized" Gewehr 98 stock.

    Kind regards
    Peter

By accident the two prescribed proofmarks, crown/S and crown/U, were stamped overlapping.

        Hello

If proofmarks were stamped overlapping by accident, the very same thing happened when the barrel was stamped. Someone was perhaps having kind of a bad day at the proof facility.

Jeff. I hope you find spare parts. I´ll keep an eye out.

        Kind regards
        Peter

Peter, thanks for the pictures, that's not what I thought it would look like.
The stock on my gun is comfortable to shoot. It has a matching serial number to the rest of the gun and even the butt plate is serialized.

Does the stock of your conversion bear this marking too?

            Kind regards

Here is a picture of mine. The second picture shows the serial number under the fore end and other numbers near the action.

The stock almost looks like it was refinished, perhaps when the repair was done?

                Volksman,
I have been Ill and haven't been able to chime in for a couple days.If you are satisfied with shooting it, as is,that's one thing;but if you want to have it repaired,it should be possible. While you may be able to find the parts'that's pretty unlikely. There are a couple people that take a special interest in this type conversion. I suspect one of them would be accommodating enough to take one of his apart, photograph the missing parts and make sketches with dimensions for your gunsmith to use in fabricating the necessary parts. At the time these conversions were initially made, the parts were mostly hand fit to make them work and there is no reason they can't be now. At one time I had one of the Geha version, but am unfamiliar with your Remo version. Mine was a 12ga.,and I had to fabricate a new bolt head for it. I believe your 16 ga.parts will be easier to fit up than the 12 ga. parts were.

                  Hello

                  Jeff
Numrich Gun Parts Corporation may be able to help you with the bolt stop. Their listing didn´t say if it were for Remo or Geha. I suggest you contact them and ask. Good luck!

                  Kind regards

Any old Mauser bolt stop, from 93 to 98, will do, as it has to be modified anyhow. The underside has to be drilled and tapped for the srews holding the "slide".

                      Thanks for the replies everyone.
It would be nice to have detailed pictures of the two pieces together and separated if some one is willing to do that. The bolt stop should be easy to get, but is it correct that I do not need the ejector.

                        Jeff,
if you´re still around. I know it´s not the best of images but does the bolthead on your Remo have the rim that´s in the below picture? My other Remo II with serial 1606 does not have this rim on the bolthead. Both boltheads carry full serials.
                        pangpang 008.jpg
The bolthead in the picture belongs to my new Remo II with serial 2670. Gauge 16. Also, this conversion has a crack where the shell guide meets the receiver. Had no problems with it yesterday when I went through circa 25 cartridges. It swallowed 65, 67,5 and 70 mm shells with no problems. Only thing that happened was that the pin made holes in the primer of the Italian and Czech cartridges. I had a couple of older Gyttorp-cartridges and there were no holes in the primers of them.

Did you get hold of any spare parts? I´m looking for a front sling swivel.

                        Kind regards

                          Jeff,
this image isn´t much better but it´s possible to see the rim on the bolthead.
                          pangpang 006.jpg
and here´s another image of the conversion (and a double barreled Haenel proofed August 1950).
