    Hi all,

I just won the following two guns in an auction online yesterday and am picking them up tomorrow.

    1) J.P. Sauer & Sohn, Drilling, 16 x .22 mag. x 7 x 57R
    2) Josef Winkler, Over/Under combination gun, 16 ga./ 6.5 x 57R

I can't wait to bring them home to have a good look at them and hopefully learn more about them in this forum.

Will post pics after I bring them home.

      Tartarus,
Welcome to the site, I'm sure you will find it very enjoyable. The two guns you just bought are chambered for some of my favorite calibers.BTW, is the drilling a "Bock Drilling", or a normal drilling with an Einstecklauf?

Thanks guys. Picked up my guns yesterday and still have a huge grin. Both of these guns are beautiful to look at and elegantly balanced.

Mike. I'm sorry, I don't know the difference between the two types of drillings. It has two shotgun barrels on top with an insert on the top right for .22mag and the 7x57R fifle barrel below and in between the two top barrels.

Below are the links to the auction site showing pics and descriptions. Just copy and paste into your web browser.

          Nick,
Since it has two shotgun barrels, it is a normal drilling with an einstecklauf. If it were a bock drilling, it would likely be a shotgun over a rifle, with the 22 barrel on the side. BTW an einstecklauf is easier, because you can adjust it to shoot to the sights with ammo other than it was regulated for.
