Falling block rifle
I recently purchased a falling block rifle with no markings except German proof marks on the right side of the receiver. The barrel appears original except no marks and is in 4mm. or .17 caliber. The chamber is slightly larger than a .223 and is rimmed. The choulder depth if 1.3". Also It is missing the triggerand guard that I planto try tobuild if I can't find something that fits. Thin line engraving outlining action, tang, and under lever. Any ideas how to find maker or what this is? The chamber appears to be fairly straight-walled as opposed to sometning like a .17 Hornet.
